A Trip to Africa

An afternoon with children's storyteller Julie Najjumba

Clover Foundation's "A Trip to Africa": An Afternoon with Children's Storyteller Julie Najjumba was a wonderful event! Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Sunday, April 8th, 2018, 2-4pm

Thank you for joining Julie Najjumba for "A Trip to Africa". Julie, a Ugandan educator, delighted families with her African stories, music and creative craft projects. Children got the chance to join Julie playing traditional African instruments, and making fun take home toys like soccer balls and jump ropes! It was a great opportunity for children to connect to another culture and learn how children’s lives are similar and different halfway across the globe in Uganda.

Families also got a chance to learn about Clover Foundation and our mision to enable young children living in extreme poverty in the urban community of Busega, in Kampala, Uganda to have the health, confidence, and ability to grow and become the change in their community. We accomplish this through free education at our preschool and then through private primary school. We are changing the lives of eighty children, a number that keeps growing every year. Without Clover they would have no chance for an education.

Thank you for supporting Clover and making "A Trip To Africa" a fun and successful event!

We would also like to thank Julie Najjumba, Nashoba Brooks School, and all of the volunteers who helped make the afternoon a sucess.
